January 20th - February 5th: Urinetown by Mark Hollman and Greg Kotis A musical about pee. Set in the future where water is scarce and urine has value. February 12: Family Tour 11:30am. Explore the house, paintings and treasures from a child’s perspective. Tours are geared for families with 6-12 year olds, but all ages are welcome. February 18- 20: Presidents Day Weekend Tours: Lincoln, Church and the U.S. Civil War. Just twelve days after the attack and surrender of Fort Sumter that began the War, the exhibition of Church’s new painting of Icebergs opened in New York City. March 11, 12, 13, 18, 19, 20: Celebrating Olana’s Irish History. Events such as the Irish Potato Famine of the 1840s and 1850s led to a major influx of Irish immigrants to the United States in the mid-nineteenth century. Like many other families in this area, the Churches hired numerous Irish immigrants for their staff at Olana during the years Frederic Church lived on this property (1860-1900).
