THRU OCTOBER 31: COOPERSTOWN CANDLELIGHT GHOST TOURS. Nightly tours from April through August and Monday,Wednesday, Friday and Sunday night in September and October. Tours feature stories about Hall of Fame, Christ Episcopal Church Churchyard and the famed house known as Grencrest. Sunday night tours spotlight the Otesaga. AUGUST 5,7,14,21: COPLAND’S-THE TENDER LAND. Written for a cast of young singers. The Tender Land is an ideal showcase for members of Glimmerglass Opera’s acclaimed Young American Artists Program. Aaron Copland’s second opera tells the bittersweet story of a young farm girl’s coming of age. Music Director Emeritus Stewart Robertson, who helped found the Young American Artists Program in 1988, returns to conduct a cast selected from the class of 201.
